Fire at the Hotel – April 2020
As hinted at above, the hotel owners were planning a name change from “Westgate Inn” but apparently disaster befell the hotel, as there was a fire at the premises in April 2020, as reported here.

Westgate Inn & Suites Torn Down – February 2022
The fire ravaged property was torn down in February 2022, as reported here. The site is owned by local hotel owners, Fresh Hotels, and it remains to be seen if they will build a new hotel on the site.
